This week's episode of season 2... finally we found out what the
"thing" on the jungle is. Sort of. Freaky! I never imagined something
like that, but it seriously freaked me out. By now we already figured there's
something really fishy going on that island, but... wow...
I so want to find out too!
Sounds a lot like Jurasic Park's T-Rex, but it doesn't seem to be THAT big. And
the creature has sort of disappeared, with the "others" being the
greater danger now.
Avast and AVG are free, and they are not bad. If you're going to pay, I agree
with w00t, o for either nod32 or kapersky. I personally prefer nod32, it's so
easy on your system resources, yet quite effective.
For firewall, I like Kerio a lot, although it's not so easy for a noob to set
up. Other good options: Sygate, Outpost.
Of course it's not acceptable, although we must also keep in mind that all not
people here are native speakers, and might use words they don't know are racist
slang. Context must really be taken into account before taking any offense
Specially with the Locke thing, I also was thinking they might all be already
dead.
Nkabee, you should watch season 2, it keeps getting stranger, haha! The numbers
keep appearing... and there's weird people there!
Even though it keeps getting weirder and weirder, with every episode more
'others', I can't keep but watch every episode, to figure out if there is any
sense in it. What is going on there? The contents of the hatch were quite
intriguing. Locke's story defies reason. Where are they? Aghhhh Anybody has any
theories?
I really like HP. One of my friends dragged me to the first movie, then, it took
me a week to go through books 1-4. I was one of the obsessed fans that rushed to
the bookstore to get 5 and 6 the day they were out.
^^;;;
Can't wait to see the 'Goblet of Fire'. Ohhhhh, the dragons are going to be
awesome!
Blogger is quite user friendly, and it's pretty fast to set it up, allowing
plenty customizations. Xanga and LJ are pretty easy to use, however, they don't
allow much customization. Blogger also has the advantage of included picture
storage.
Personally, I use Blogsome, which is free, based on Wordpress, and quite
flexible and customizable. Not as user friendly as Blogger, and no picture
storage included (but there's always Photobucket/ImageShack or even Flickr), but
it's a bit more reliable and powerful - it allows setting up categories, and
it's anti-spam features are quite good.
Yeah, I'm still pondering on that
I don't have a radio/CD player either here... all i have is my clothing, my
laptop and three pictures.
So.... I still have to see whether external HDD (I'm stuck with USB1 btw) +
stereo > HDD player + speakers I'm still thinking on this, and will
probably take my time. Specially because I don't have money now. .
So, will keep thinking and dreaming, haha
anyway... I don't think Ipod's are "necessary". Food is necessary.
Water is necessary. A luxury item to show off is most certainly not
necessary.
Even though it is not necessary, a large player that can fit most of your music
IS nice to have. I don't have an Ipod. I have a small flash MP3 player, far
cheaper, and very handy to listen to music while walking and using public
transportation. I'm not particulary interested in showing off the player - I
don't want to get robbed!!!! However, I'm thinking on getting a higher
capacity MP3 player eventually, capable of fitting my entire CD collection?
Why? I just moved to a different country. I left most of my CDs at home,
because really, my luggage was already to heavy without fitting all my music. I
converted most of my music to MP3 and loaded it into my laptop, however, I'm
running out of HD space for, ahem, useful stuff I need for school. Computer HD
are less pricey, but this is a laptop, I can't further upgrade the HD. And if
I'm building a music collection here, I would really really really like it to be
something that I could use when I'm here or when I return home, which is so far
far away.
so, anyway, whether a large capacity Mp3 player is useful or not depends on your
particular situation
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Mexico won the Sub17 cup!!!!! And against Brazil
<<<<< ----- Mexican
ahem...
Oh, and Mexico hasn't played vs the US too many times in a World Cup. It does
get pretty tense against ANY team in a World Cup, which is kind of sad.
specially if penalties are involved
I guess I'm starting to feel a little homesick and lonely here
I was watching Desperate Wives on Sunday, as I used to do back home... and it
hit me. This is now home, and will be for a while.
So, all the stuff I left behind IS behind now.
Err, i'm quite grown up - 25 - and still enjoying it
A benefit of growing up is that you have more budget for anime ^_^
It comes with the downside of work, but that's just a minor detail.
I have just started my graduate studies in Canada, which means I had to move
here and leave my home country for a while. I've only been here for two weeks,
but I already miss my family, my friends, my activities.. and well... I miss a
lot the FOOD and the nice warm weather of Mexico. I'm freezing to death and
it's not even winter.
and due to a limited budget, I'm pretty much surviving on bread and milk (coz
calcium is important, you know). I'd kill for some real tortillas and tacos.
Are any of you guys living now in a different country? Was it also hard to
adapt? What did you find the hardest, and what did you miss the most?
Full Metal Rules!
I had Animax, and was soooo happy, even though they were already repeating
episodes very shortly after starting ... There's also Prince of Tennis,
although quite early. ^_^
But now I've moved and I no longer have cable, sadly, no more daily anime fix.

"Series 3: Were dead ... " Probably!

Could this creature be related to the "incident"?

I got tickets to see Serenity, but when we went there, the theatre was empty, and we ended up switching to Domino. I really wanted to see Serenity!

tonites episode was kind of intriguing...
what did they mean with the kids being in a better place, and only good people being on the list? Are the others some twisted version of Santa Claus?
I also found kind of upsetting what happened with Shannon. It should have been someone else, poor siblings. And today just added salt to the wound.
Specially with the Locke thing, I also was thinking they might all be already dead.
Nkabee, you should watch season 2, it keeps getting stranger, haha! The numbers keep appearing... and there's weird people there!
Of course Ron and Hermione will have to join with Harry. Just wondering whether they will be at Hogwarts or not.
Can't wait for the 7th book to come out... in a couple of years
I should really stop getting addicted to series that are currently being written.
I hope I placed it in the right subforum.
Any of you guys into Lost?

War brings no good at all. Life is precious. Imposing a "greater good" with violence is simply not acceptable.

that's a very tough one. I really enjoy Fruit's Basket art, but having to choose ... I guess I'll go with scans
happy bday fairy!

One you won't find in most dictionaries...
directly from Mexico
chido = cool, spoken in a not-so-cool way, haha
Yes, I'll visit my family on xmas...
The weather is being one of the biggest problems for me. It's not too cold I guess, but I'm so not used to this, and the best part is yet to come
And I'm quite liking Canada, btw... It's just that ... it's different, and quite far away from home
